Sardinia: tastes of Wild Blue and beyond…

Sardegna

8 - 11 people

Wonderful itinerary, discovering the secrets of Latemar, a Triassic coral atoll.
Outside the most frequented areas of the Fiemme and Fassa Valleys, starting from the valley floor, on the first day we will enter its fabulous amphitheater in the presence of the Latemar Campaniles, going all the way up the history-rich Valsorda: from the spectacular forests to the “lunar” plateau.
On the second day, a traverse of the glacial basin awaits us, allowing us to observe the grandiose dolomite spires from multiple perspectives.
DETAILS
Day One:
From the village of Forno, between Predazzo and Moena, we will embark on the Valsorda, where we will encounter the unique “Bore Quarry” an ingenious system for transporting logs to the valley floor.
After a couple of hours of walking the trail will become decidedly steeper to enter the hanging plateau where we will find the Sief bivouac.
By stony paths we will climb to the Forcella dei Camosci and then reach the refuge.
Height difference: 1,500 meters uphill
Overnight stay at the Torre di Pisa refuge at 2,660 meters above sea level
Day 2:
From the hut we will briefly pick up the trail from the day before to begin the traverse of the eastern part of the range, again with spectacular views, passing under the imposing bell towers.
We will reach Forcella Piccola where the descent down the left side of the valley to return to Forno will begin.
Height difference: 300 meters uphill
An excellent level of training and habit of walking in the mountains is required.

In dolomiti Beat we are all AMM Certified by the College of Alpine Guides of Veneto, to guarantee you maximum safety and professionalism and think only of your enjoyment!
Always "sick" of Mountains and Nature in general, born and raised in the countryside, just outside Verona and the Lessini Mountains.
Enrolled almost as a joke in the Medium Mountain Companion course organized by the College of Mountain Guides of Veneto.
During the challenging training, with wonderful and passionate colleagues we "discovered" a new way of going to the mountains: slower, more mindful.
For the past two years I have been accompanying people in "my" mountains and around Italy, with projects even across borders.
Most of all, I like to explore places outside the crowd and take advantage of all seasons to frequent both sea and mountains.
