Sardinia: tastes of Wild Blue and beyond…

Sardegna

8 - 11 people

We will cross ancient trails and military roads built during World War I. We will encounter lakes, green alpine pastures and dark rock under our feet, consisting of granite and porphyry.
The technical difficulty is not high but, taking into account the elevation changes, a good level of physical fitness and walking habit is required to accomplish the planned ascents and descents. Walking times are about 6-7 hours per day.
The tour will be conducted counterclockwise. We will start from Malga Sorgazza, beyond the village of Pieve Tesino. We will reach the Ottone Brentari refuge after about 1,000 meters of ascent. Here, surrounded by a beautiful lake, (probably still frozen), and the imposing wall of Cima d’Asta, we will dine and stay overnight. The following morning, we will reach the pass of Forcella Magna and begin an elevated walk on military trails strewn with remnants of war from World War I. We will then descend to the Caldenave refuge passing some picturesque small lakes.
The second day will feature more downhill: 1,300 meters of negative elevation gain.
We will have dinner, stay overnight and rest at the Caldenave refuge. We will start again on the third day to return to the starting point of our trek by passing eastward over Cimon di Rava and Costa Brunella Lake and then descending with a long descent to Malga Sorgazza.
Difficulty level: medium-high; a good level of training in walking in the mountains is required.

In dolomiti Beat we are all AMM Certified by the College of Alpine Guides of Veneto, to guarantee you maximum safety and professionalism and think only of your enjoyment!
A lifelong lover of Sports, the Dolomites, the Alps, the Pre-Alps and the outdoors, I decided at age 40 to change my life and follow my passion: to enable people to experience the Mountains with pleasure.
In 2019 I added a new piece to my education by completing the Medium Mountain Guide Course and enrolling in the Veneto Regional College of Mountain Guides.
The greatest satisfaction I receive in accompanying an individual or group is for me, the opportunity to convey my enthusiasm and passion for this outdoor world to those who do not yet know it, or those who want to know it better.
I think the mountains can be experienced in a variety of exciting ways, all of which are correct and all of which have many merits: from the tranquility of a relaxing hike that makes us better savor the excitement of each step, to the speed of moving quickly from peak to peak.
So, here I am, I have become a mountain professional and provide my expertise to accompany you on mountain excursions, both in the Veneto and around the World, always guaranteeing your safety.
As a lifelong sports enthusiast (FIDAL instructor technician), I am also available for trail running, MTB or E-Bike routes from the foothills of the Alps to the Dolomites.
Not forgetting my experience in the company as an employee!
Precisely because I felt that this was not my path, I welcome corporate team building requests with empathy and a particular propensity for group dynamics, because the outdoors facilitates positive relationships.
