Marchi-Granzotto bivouac, a red box of love
35 € per person
The Marchi-Granzotto bivouac is located at 2168 meters above sea level in the upper part of Val Monfalcon di Montanaia and is surrounded by one of the most striking and spectacular rock amphitheaters in the entire Dolomites.
We will ascend from the Monfalcon Valley of Cimoliana, starting from the Pordenone refuge.
From here we will enter a dense undergrowth that will soon lead us to the base of the wide scree that marks the beginning of the ascent of this spectacular valley, almost 5 kilometers long. After overcoming this first section, which is definitely the most challenging, the trail goes over wide meadows in a truly majestic environment, then back onto rock in the last 200m of elevation gain that will lead us to Forcella del Leone 2272m, the highest point of our itinerary.
A steep but short descent on scree will finally bring us to our bivouac, a small box painted bright red set on a wide panoramic terrace from which the view sweeps from the Forni Monfalcone chain to that of the Cresta del Leone pushing as far as Pramaggiore in the distance.
After giving ourselves a much-needed break to regain some energy, but above all to fill our eyes and hearts with the unique beauty of this magical place, we will complete our loop by descending from the Val Monfalcon di Forni, which, with a glance back, will allow us to fully appreciate the characteristic rocky outcrop that houses the bivouac and dominates the basin.
A good level of training and habit of walking in the mountains is required.

Hi, it's Jade!
I grew up between Vittorio Veneto, the town where I was born, and Chies, a small town in the mountains of Alpago, my mother's homeland where my grandparents still live.
A lifelong lover of sports and nature, I am a fitness instructor at the gym and have been mountaineering, trail running, and cycling both road and mountain biking for several years.
The mountains and I have always sought each other out even though unfortunately life has kept us apart for some time, first during my years of study in Venice where I majored in linguistic and cultural mediation with a Chinese-English major and later when work led me to move for long periods to Asia, first to Shanghai and then to Hong Kong.
It was upon my return to Italy that I began to really cultivate my passion for the outdoors, getting closer and closer to the mountains until I fell madly in love with them.
And it was on the wave of this overwhelming love that after working for a few years in local companies as a foreign salesperson, I decided to change my life and enroll in the Veneto Mountain Guides College's Medium Mountain Accompanies course, which allowed me to turn this great passion of mine into a profession.
For me, mountains are joy, serenity, curiosity, energy, effort, relief, wonder, sharing, reflection, discovery, adventure, freedom.
To put it in one word, it's LIFE....and I look forward to taking you with me to safely experience this extraordinary environment that will be able to give you unique emotions that you will carry in your heart forever!
