TREK DETAILS
We will leave Auronzo di Cadore to climb slowly up to the Marmarole, reaching the first refuge facing south on the high altitude grasslands of Pian dei Buoi, the Ciareido refuge.
From here begins a nice flat stretch to the Baion refuge and then again to the Chiggiato refuge , which will host us for the evening.
First day elevation gain: 950 meters uphill approx.
The following morning we will descend immediately to the Val d’Oten and then ascend to the Galassi refuge at the foot of theAntelao peak. From here, with another hour’s walk we will reach the San Marco refuge for an overnight stay.
Second day elevation gain: 1000 meters uphill and 1000 meters downhill
The third day of the trek involves ascending to the highest point of the trek at 2255 elevation, Forcella Grande, and then making a long and gentle descent to return to Auronzo.
Third day elevation gain: 550 meters uphill and 1250 meters downhill
The trek is truly spectacular, in seldom-visited places, where we will feel fully immersed in the mountains for an exceptional charge of energy.
Level and difficulty: a good level of training and habit of mountain walking is required.
Editor’s note: There is the possibility, upon request, to continue for the next two days with two other excursions in the area.

In dolomiti Beat we are all AMM Certified by the College of Alpine Guides of Veneto, to guarantee you maximum safety and professionalism and think only of your enjoyment!
A lifelong lover of Sports, the Dolomites, the Alps, the Pre-Alps and the outdoors, I decided at age 40 to change my life and follow my passion: to enable people to experience the Mountains with pleasure.
In 2019 I added a new piece to my education by completing the Medium Mountain Guide Course and enrolling in the Veneto Regional College of Mountain Guides.
The greatest satisfaction I receive in accompanying an individual or group is for me, the opportunity to convey my enthusiasm and passion for this outdoor world to those who do not yet know it, or those who want to know it better.
I think the mountains can be experienced in a variety of exciting ways, all of which are correct and all of which have many merits: from the tranquility of a relaxing hike that makes us better savor the excitement of each step, to the speed of moving quickly from peak to peak.
So, here I am, I have become a mountain professional and provide my expertise to accompany you on mountain excursions, both in the Veneto and around the World, always guaranteeing your safety.
As a lifelong sports enthusiast (FIDAL instructor technician), I am also available for trail running, MTB or E-Bike routes from the foothills of the Alps to the Dolomites.
Not forgetting my experience in the company as an employee!
Precisely because I felt that this was not my path, I welcome corporate team building requests with empathy and a particular propensity for group dynamics, because the outdoors facilitates positive relationships.
