One of the most scenic balconies at the foot of the king of the Dolomites, the most recognizable mountain, an island in the middle of the valley, called the Caregon of the Fatherland, Pelmo.
The route will start near Zoppè di Cadore to gradually reach through paths and mule tracks the base of the Pelmo walls almost to the Venezia refuge.
Then we climb through wide grasslands, with the imposing Pelmo amphitheater behind us, to the summit of Mt. Pena at 2200 meters above sea level.

Difficulty level: medium. A sufficient level of training in walking in the mountains is required.

As a lifelong sports enthusiast (FIDAL instructor technician), I am also available for trail running, MTB or E-Bike routes from the foothills of the Alps to the Dolomites.
