Sardinia: tastes of Wild Blue and beyond…

Sardegna

8 - 11 people

A classic of the highest order, the complete loop of Mount Pelmo, one of the most distinctive mountains in all the Dolomites for being in the center of a valley, isolated and with the characteristic shape that gave it the name“Caregon del Padreterno“
The hike will start from Staulanza Pass to easily reach the Venezia hut on the south side and then begin the main climb to Forcella Val d’Arcia and descend back to the starting point across the scree to the north.
In addition to being extremely rewarding, the route is always varied, first among mughoes and grassy pastures at the foot of the Pelmetto walls and then climbing along broad scree to the highest point of the route, the Val d’Arcia fork, and finally the sun-protected north slope with scree covering a melting underground glacier.
