Provincia di Belluno

May is the perfect month for an excursion to the Cinque Torri area: the noise of the ski lifts in operation and the crowded ski slopes are now a thing of the past and the summer bustle of tourists on holiday is still far away. In short, this season offers us the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of one of the best known and most spectacular areas of the Dolomites without incurring the chaos that characterizes it at other times of the year.
We will start near the Col Gallina refuge and across large, slightly sloping meadows we will reach Lake Limides and then continue to the vault of Forcella Averau on terrain that will gradually become steeper and more rocky. A few breaks to admire the extraordinary nature all around will be a must, so don’t worry, you won’t feel the fatigue!
We will pass at the foot of the Croda Negra and skirt the Averau wall and, having passed our saddle, we will conquer the Nuvolau refuge with a last effort, an authentic eagle’s nest built on the summit of Mount Nuvolau at an altitude of 2575 metres. Here we will enjoy a well-deserved lunch break with a breathtaking view of some of the most iconic mountains of the Dolomites including of course the Cinque Torri, the imposing Tofane, the Lagazuoi, the Lastoni di Formin, the Civetta, the Sorapiss, the Antelao, the Marmolada and the Sella group in the distance. Even if leaving these magical places always makes you feel a bit melancholy, the descent will reserve us new glimpses that will also make the return to the valley exciting. The perfect end to a day that you will surely not forget!
A sufficient level of training and habit of walking in the mountains is required.

Hi, it's Jade!
I grew up between Vittorio Veneto, the town where I was born, and Chies, a small town in the mountains of Alpago, my mother's homeland where my grandparents still live.
A lifelong lover of sports and nature, I am a fitness instructor at the gym and have been mountaineering, trail running, and cycling both road and mountain biking for several years.
The mountains and I have always sought each other out even though unfortunately life has kept us apart for some time, first during my years of study in Venice where I majored in linguistic and cultural mediation with a Chinese-English major and later when work led me to move for long periods to Asia, first to Shanghai and then to Hong Kong.
It was upon my return to Italy that I began to really cultivate my passion for the outdoors, getting closer and closer to the mountains until I fell madly in love with them.
And it was on the wave of this overwhelming love that after working for a few years in local companies as a foreign salesperson, I decided to change my life and enroll in the Veneto Mountain Guides College's Medium Mountain Accompanies course, which allowed me to turn this great passion of mine into a profession.
For me, mountains are joy, serenity, curiosity, energy, effort, relief, wonder, sharing, reflection, discovery, adventure, freedom.
To put it in one word, it's LIFE....and I look forward to taking you with me to safely experience this extraordinary environment that will be able to give you unique emotions that you will carry in your heart forever!
