Sasso Piatto, one of the most famous groups in the Dolomites is located between Val di Fassa and Val Gardena, between Catinaccio and Sella, a stone’s throw from theAlpe di Siusi plateau.
The name outlines its characteristics; it is in fact an inclined plane that rises from west to east to the 2964-meter summit.
TREK DETAILS
On the first day, from the Sella Pass, we will climb to the Demetz hut, at the narrow fork that divides the Sasso Piatto from the Sassolungo. We will then descend to the Vicenza refuge and following a path at the base of vertical rocks we will reach the Sasso Piatto refuge where we will spend the night in a beautiful setting among green pastures and rocks.
The following morning we will climb directly to the summit of Sasso Piatto to reach 2964 meters.
We will then descend along the same ascent itinerary and return to Passo Sella with a route along the southern slope of the mountain, passing by the Pertini refuge and Friedrich August.
Level and difficulty: a good level of training and habit of mountain walking and a sure-footedness is required

I think the mountains can be experienced in a variety of exciting ways, all of which are correct and all of which have many merits: from the tranquility of a relaxing hike that makes us better savor the excitement of each step, to the speed of moving quickly from peak to peak.
So, here I am, I have become a mountain professional and provide my expertise to accompany you on mountain excursions, both in the Veneto and around the World, always guaranteeing your safety.
As a lifelong sports enthusiast (FIDAL instructor technician), I am also available for trail running, MTB or E-Bike routes from the foothills of the Alps to the Dolomites.
